BIRTHDAY CAKES for CHILDREN

Some of my favorite memories of raising my children are those of creating and decorating their Birthday Cakes. I will admit that none were quite as amazing as the cakes shown above....Yet, I was always pleased when I saw their little faces light up, upon seeing the cake I had made just for them! 

As a mom, for me baking the cake has always been about "the gift of love"...while baking I was remembering the day they were born..seeing them and holding them for the first time, knowing I had just been handed the greatest gift of all...and then as each Birthday passed, feeling blessed to watch the person they were becoming....
